Hi, I'm Anindita
(A writer & digital storyteller)

I've always been a writer.

I started writing diaries at 10. Growing up as a single child, I have
made diaries, my best friends. If you are one, you can relate to
having a diary or an imaginary best friend.

Writing always fascinated me. My first blog in 19, bewildered butterfly, sadly didn't last because I was too young and lacked the self-esteem to keep it going. Graduated in 2018, with my finance degree, I further explored jobs to stay independent.

I started adulting at 21, paying rent, living in a city, working 9-5 and packing my lunch every day. Something changed when I was 24, and I left my decent paying job to explore my talent in content writing. Worked for 30+ clients globally over the years, some retainers, some with temporary contracts.

My degree and experience helped me receive better deals. I indulged into writing articles, white papers, and short-form content for the fintech industry. Self-employment gives you a lot of freedom and the ability to have time in your fingertips, but again, it comes with many struggles too.
While I work on technical content for my bread and butter, my creative exploration remains empty if I don't explore stories that evoke numerous feelings. Now, I have developed an interest in societal aspects and theories like cultural identity, symbolic interactionism, parasocial interaction, modern media, modern stories, self-determination, and personal growth.

Yellow Paper Dreams is a social commentary blog exploring how digital life shapes who we are, how we connect, and how we tell stories today. I don't want to just observe trends, but to reclaim meaning behind culture, food, life, and thoughts every day.

The name Yellow Paper Dreams is inspired by the yellowing pages of my old diaries,
where I have written the hopes, ideas, and dreams.
Over time, the paper aged, but the words never lost their meaning.
